Highland Historic Buildings Trust has transferred its operations to the Scottish Historic Buildings Trust (SHBT), combining forty years of Highland conservation experience with the skills of Scotland’s nationwide building preservation charity.
The integration into SHBT will allow HHBT’s important legacy of successful building restoration to continue. HHBT’s noted achievements over the years include stabilisation works to the Chapel of the Sand of Udrigil overlooking Gruinard Bay, the restoration and reuse of 58-59 High street, Ardersier, the restoration and conversion of Forss Mill in Caithness, the repair and reuse of the Sail Loft, Stornoway, as well as the Easter Ross Churches Trail, which SHBT will continue to support.
